Mission

The mission of the Hemby Bridge Media Center is to help all students develop a love of reading and to support the school’s curriculum by providing access to an age-appropriate collection of materials and resources. 

Destiny Library Catalog

All students and staff can access the Destiny Library Catalog by signing in through NCEdCloud and Clever.

Policies

All students come to the media center each week as part of the specials rotation. Kindergarten and first-grade students are allowed to check out one book at a time. Second and third-grade students can check out two books at a time. Fourth and fifth-grade students can check out up to three books. Students can keep their books for two weeks. 

We do not charge late fees for overdue books. Students are expected to be responsible for taking care of all library materials. Fees are assessed for lost or damaged books. If a book is lost or damaged, a note will be sent home to the parents to inform them of the lost or damaged item and the replacement cost.
