Mrs. Helms grew up in Monroe.  She went to Wingate Elementary, East Union Middle and graduated from Forest Hills High School. She earned a BA in Business from Wingate University and a Masters in Library Science from East Carolina University.  She was the School Media Coordinator at Wingate Elementary for 13 years.  The love of reading, technology, and working with students is what drew her to become a School Media Coordinator.  She enjoys working with students at Porter Ridge Middle School. Mrs. Helms resides in Monroe with her husband and three daughters.
